'First Gold' rose Description

Class:
Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea. (Series: Freelander® Collection)
Bloom:
Deep yellow. None to mild fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large, matte, dark green foliage.
Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Australia - Patent No: AU4244P on 17 May 2011 Application No: 2006/099 on 8 May 2006 VIEW PBR PATENT‘Unnamed seedling’ x ‘KO 88143-01’ in May 1996. First selection was made in May 1997. In July 1997, budded onto Rosa canina rootstock and planted in open. In 1998 second cycle of selection was made and the seedling tested until 2001. Introduction and first sale took place in 2002.
