Introduced in France by Jean Pernet (père) in 1859 as 'Triomphe de Lyon'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1863 as 'Triomphe de Lyon'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark purple shading.  Average diameter 4.5".  Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
