Notes:
Name confusion in this species is the result of (1) Crépin's change of heart in the way he divided up the species Rosa luciae; and (2) disagreements about how to properly form the a name of a rose species to honor Max Wichura: wichuraiana, wichurana, or wichurae.
Let the specialists in botanical Latin figure it out.
R. luciae var. wichuraiana (Crép.) Koidz. (1913), a variety of R. luciae Franch. & Rochebr. (1871) (see). At least two varieties of R. luciae / R. wichurana / R. wichuraiana exist in commerce. Hips are oval and red.
