Origin:
Bred by Julien-ALEXANDRE Hardy (France, before 1820).
Class:
China / Bengale.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, violet-red shading. [Crimson.].  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Compact, narrow.  Dark green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Sisley Vandael lists 'La régulière' as a synonym of 'Beau carmin', however Vibert exhibited them separately in 1842.
