MLLE FRANZISKA KRÜGER (sometimes listed with the prefix "Mme." or as Francisca Krüger). Nabonnand, 1880. (Catherine Mermet X General Schablikine [T.]). Cream or light flesh on outer petals, center yellow to copper, often with splashes of lilac; bud short; flower double, and holds center well; fair in size, and does well in heat, liable to discolor in rain, and to ball in extreme dampness. Foliage good and well retained. Fine growth, but with short stems; of little cut-flower value. Because of continuous flowering is useful for massing and for hedges, being of sturdy growth in the S. Zones. Does remarkably well in the interior valleys of California.
