Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1993 as 'Magic Carpet'.

Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Strong, spice fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Semi-double (9-16 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 18" to 4' (45 to 120cm).  Width: 3' to 6' (90 to 185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Can be used for ground cover.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
