'Popular Palace' rose Description

Class:
Mini-Flora. (Series: Palace ® Collection)
Bloom:
Orange-red. None to mild fragrance. 55 to 60 petals. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Short, bushy. Glossy, dark green foliage. 7 leaflets.
Height: 16" to 2' (40 to 60cm). Width: 35" to 45" (90 to 115cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden.

The present invention constitutes a new and distinct variety of compact floribunda rose plant which originated from a controlled crossing between the female seed parent, an un-named seedling, and the male pollen parent, a rose by the same inventors named `Poulmanti` described and illustrated in U.S. Plant Pat. No. 11,540, issued Oct. 3, 2000. The two parents were crossed and the resulting seeds were planted in a controlled environment. The new variety is named `Poulpal024`.
...Asexual reproduction of `Poulpal024` by cuttings and traditional budding was first done by Mogens N. Olesen in the nursery in Fredensborg, Denmark in April 1998.
