Bred by Marie-Louise (Louisette) Meilland (Paolino) (1920-1987) (France, 1956).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1965 as 'Maria Callas'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1965 as 'Maria Callas'.
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses in 1966 as 'Maria Callas'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1967 as 'Miss All-American Beauty'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Mild to strong fragrance.  45 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered to cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, light green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 3' to 6'7" (90 to 200cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
