Medium red Hybrid Perpetual.
Bloom:
Crimson, scarlet shading. Moderate fragrance. Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals), cupped bloom form. Long sepals, long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns. Large, medium green foliage. 5 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower.

Notes:
Prince Youssouf (Youssef or Yusuf) Kamal of Egypt (December 17, 1882 Cairo - February 1, 1967 Strobl, Austria), a grandson of the Khedive Ismail Pasha (December 31, 1830 Cairo - March 2,1 895 Istanbul). He founded in Cairo the School of Fine Arts in 1905 and the Society of Fine Arts Lovers in 1924, contributed to the development of villages in Upper Egypt and introduced some modern agricultural techniques in Nagaa Hammadi. He left Egypt after the July 1952 revolution for Europe. Youssouf Kamal wrote several travel books and edited "Monumenta Cartographica Africae et Aegypti" from 1926-1951.
