Dark purple, lighter shading, golden-yellow stamens.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Mossed buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, suckers on its own roots, upright.  

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Can be used for garden or hedge.  Can be trained as a climber.  prefers full sun.
