Bred by Charles Turner (United Kingdom, 1878).
Introduced in Australia by Edwin Smith, Clifton Nursery in 1885 as 'Dean of Windsor'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Vermilion to scarlet, crimson flecks.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Dense foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
