My Prairie Princess had so many blooms during the spring flush that I did not deadhead as much as I would have liked...so many went to hips. It is great to see the fall blooms intermingled with the hips.
Although some say PP is a climber, it can be trained as a shrub with early staking. This is my 7 yr old own root PP growning as a large shrub. The picture is not very clear but as you can see the blooms plentiful.
