Origin:
Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, 1861).
Introduced in Australia by Joseph Harris, South Yarra Nurseries in 1865 as 'Prince Camille de Rohan'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark brown shading, dark red highlights.  Strong, honey fragrance.  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
