[ “Ori-hime” is the archaic name of a star ( = Vega ). Its original meaning is a “weaving girl”. Legend says that her lover Hikoboshi crosses the Milky Way to meet her once a year on the 7th of July. This is celibrated as the Star Festival (Tanabata).
