Introduced by Unknown in circa 1893 as ' Rosa gymnocarpa Nutt.'.
Bloom:
Pink. 5 petals. Average diameter 1.25". Small to medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Short, bushy, upright. Matte, medium green foliage. 5 to 9 leaflets.
Height: 39" to 9'10" (100 to 300cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Vigorous. produces decorative hips. shade tolerant.
