Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'Fanny Blankers-Koen'.

Orange - yellow, red shading, red veining.  Strong fragrance.  up to 16 petals.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Long, pointed buds.

Upright.  Glossy foliage.

Notes:
Francina ("Fanny") Elsje Blankers-Koen (April 26, 1918 Lage Vuursche - January 25, 2004 Hoofddoro), Dutch athlete ("the flying housewife"), won 4 Gold Medals at the 1948 London Olympics (100m, 200m, 80m hurdles, 4x100m relay), plus a number of European championships in 1946 and 1950.
