"Sheila Gravett's No 48" - a beautiful and very resilient rose that has been found surviving/thriving in many old gardens in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. It has gathered a collection of study names and some of us unwittingly ended up with 3 or 4 of the same variety under different names in our gardens - an excellent way to work out whether a rose is the same or different.
February (late summer) 2016, Perth, Western Australia.
The roses in the background are, from left, 'Hugo Roller', "David's Dilemma" and "Not Princesse Sagan, probably Professeur Ganiviat"

Barbara Dundas's rose, 10 April 2015, at Rockingham Beach. The crown flower is huge and the buds are plump and bright pink tinged. These flowers were way above my head as the bush has not been pruned for some years.
