Origin:

Bred by Peter Joy (Finland, 1994). Bred by Pirkko Kahila (Finland, 1994). Bred by Matti Kangaspunta (Finland, 1994).

Class:

Hybrid Rugosa, Shrub.

Bloom:

Light pink, ages to white . Mild, myrrh fragrance. Average diameter 1.75". Small to medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles, dense. Small, medium green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.

Height: 39" to 47" (100 to 120cm).

Parentage:

Snow Pavement × R. multiflora var. nana (hort.)

Notes:

The 'Angel Rose' described as pollen parent of 'Sointu' is most probably Léonard Lille's Rosa multiflora var. nana or the earlier 'Plate-Bande', which are propagated by grains.
