Climbing Sports from Dwarf Roses:
These climbing sports are not always dependable, as one plant of the same variety will make strong climbing shoots, while another will be little stronger in growth than the variety from which it sported. The most reliable of those mentioned in the Catalogue are Climbing Kaiserin Augusta Victoria, Climbing Mrs. W. J. Grant, Climbing Niphetos, Climbing Papa Gontier, and Climbing Devoniensis.

Dans notre précédent numéro, à l'article Rosiers nouveaux, nous annoncions que M. Vigneron, rosiériste à Olivet (Loiret), mettait au commerce la rose désignée sous le nom de Madame Roudillon.
Un second prospectus reçu ces jours derniers, nous apprend que notre collègue possède une autre nouveauté qui sera vendue également cet automne.  C'est:
Papa Gontier Climbing (thé). — Arbuste sarmenteux ayant conservé tous les caractères de la variété Papa Gontier, dont elle est un dimorphisme.  Cette variété sera une très bonne addition dans la série des thé sarmenteux.
