Notes:
See References for alternate date of introduction, 1938. There is a very good chance that Skinner used the R. woodsii native to his area of Manitoba rather than, as he thought, R. acicularis. Olsen suggests, on the basis of ploidy and location, that Skinner's hybrids attributed to R. acicularis were probably derived from R. woodsii rather than R. acicularis. R. woodsii is much more common than R. acicularis in the Dropmore, MB area where Skinner was breeding roses (Rose Hybridizers Association Newsletter, Spring 2010, p. 6).
