Bred by François (Belgium, before 1826). Introduced in France by Miellez in before 1826 as 'Grand Papa'.
Bloom:
Crimson and dark purple. Velvety. Medium, very double bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer. Glandular sepals, rounded buds.
