Bloom:
Primrose yellow with lighter yellow reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Small, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, spreading.  Small, glossy, dark green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  7 to 9 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Can be used for shrub.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant, rust resistant.  Prune dead wood.

This seedling was lost to dieback in 2012 and is now extinct
