Esmond Jones, NSW:   Hugo Roller and Penelope are ‘look alikes’ - the former a vigorous grower which fails to drop its petals once the flowers fadeevery single petal holds on unti it is brown and withered, hence much dead-heading is needed.   the tea rose Penelope is a refined version of  Hugo Roller in soft creamy yellows with the outer petals stained rose pink at the edges.   Penelope grows taller than Hugo R.  and is not quite so prolific but makes up in quality what it lacks in quantity.
