Class:
Unknown.  
Habit:
Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, dense, upright, well-branched.  Large, semi-glossy, medium green, dense, edged purple-red foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  
Growing:
Can be used for garden or shrub.  Very vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  drought resistant.  heat tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  
Breeder's notes:
Cross tag was unreadable at time of hip harvest. Given its once blooming nature, the most likely pollen parents will be Carefree Copper (pollen donated from Larry Davis's Carefree Beauty X Austrian Copper seedling) or Harison's Yellow. These were the only once bloomers used on Stephen's Big Purple in 2012.
