Bred by Ernest D. Williams (United States, 1981).
Introduced in United States by Mini Roses of Texas in 1981 as 'Bit o' Gold'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Deep yellow.  Moderate fragrance.  40 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, reflexed bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, compact, few or no prickles/thorns, rounded, well-branched.  Small, semi-glossy, dark green, dense, leathery foliage.  12 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.

The present variety of miniature rose was originated by me at my nursery located at Dallas, Tex., under conditions of careful control and observation, as a cross between an un-named seedling (miniature--not patented), as the seed parent and Golden Angel (miniature--U.S. Plant Pat. No. 4,028,), as the pollen parent.
