Origin:
Bred by Thomas Laxton (United Kingdom, 1867).
Introduced in Australia by Charles Wyatt, Frogmore Nursery in 1868 as 'Prince of Wales'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Paul and Son / George Paul in 1869 as 'Prince of Wales'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, expanded , globular bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
