Origin:
Discovered by Hermann Kiese (Germany, 1906).
Introduced in Germany by J. C. Schmidt / Blumenschmidt in 1906 as 'Blumenschmidt'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, pink outer petals. Hard green center.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Arching, few or no prickles/thorns, well-branched.  Small foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Sport discovered by Kiese and commercialised by Schmidt. "Blumenschmidt" (Flower-Schmidt) was the telegraph address of the Schmidt nursery, which later became the colloquial name for the nursery.
