Class:
Found Rose, Miscellaneous OGR.  
Bloom:
Medium to deep pink.  Strong, old rose fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles, narrow, upright.  

Height: 6' to 7' (185 to 215cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
Can be used for garden.  Can be trained as a climber.  heat tolerant.  shade tolerant.  suitable for a pillar.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot , susceptible to Mildew, susceptible to rust .  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
In the early 20th Century, Irene Ford found this rose growing on its own (probably at a prior homestead site) in Missouri, and brought it with her to San Diego, CA from Missouri by train in the 1940's.
Dimensions given are for a plant grown in part-shade; an older plant grown in full sun was probably 4-5 feet wide.
Probably a Hybrid Perpetual. Suckers mildly; not invasive in San Diego.
