Origin:
Bred by Natalia Khilkevitch (Austria, 2019).
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Yellow blend and cream, ages to white .  Mild to strong, sweet, vanilla fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, quilled bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Medium foliage.  

Height: 31" to 47" (80 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6a and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden.  Can be grown as a shrub.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

This plant originated from a controlled cross. The two parents were crossed during the summer 2019.
Asperner Löwe = Lion of Aspern is a monument of a lion in Vienna, Austria, created in 1858 by Anton Dominik Fernkorn to commemorate the soldiers which fell in the battle for Aspern (1809) during napoleonic wars.
