Bred by Pierre Oger (France, before 1848).
Class:
Damask Perpetual, Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Deep pink to crimson.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Leafy sepals buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Large, light green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
