Notes:
Found in Scotsdale Road, Denmark. W.A. Possibly ’Mme. Abel Chatenay’<1894. This rose was said to be late in starting to bloom (1812 and 1829 refs). “Bob Williams Old Mud Hut” seems to have a long pointed bud. Bloom size matches the 1958 reference of 3.5 inches, 37 petals were mentioned in the 1847 reference. My petal count is close at 40 and 43. Foliage today is certainly light green.
Discounted: ‘Lady Alice Stanley’ 1909: blooms had 75 petals, massive buds, were large to very large with broad petals, and foliage was deeply veined.
