This seedling , tested out for over a decade, has been on our radar for quite some time, but we never got round to thinking of releasing it. In early 2023 Viru remarked that we should do something about it, and since it again flowered a week after he went, I thought it was appropriate to give it a name and release it as it was his wish. The name of the hymn Abide with Me always resonated with us, so I felt that it would be a good name to give this rose which has abided with us for nearly 14 years.
