Bred by Jonathan Windham (United States, 2020).

Species Cross.  

Blotchy pink over white.  Mild fragrance.  up to 5 petals.  Single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  

Bristly .  Light green foliage.  7 leaflets.  

The 9th seedling of the 85th cross of the year 2020. First bloomed April 3, 2023. Seed parent was an R. woodsii seedling germinated and sent to me by Larry Davis in 2017. The buds are glandular and fragrant like R. tunquinenesis. The habit is very wirey.

Cross was made on a whim, didn’t expect it to take!

Diploid

This cross is analogous to #205-20-004 R. palustris x R. banksiae lutescens; deciduous, thicket-forming North American native seed parent crossed with an evergreen, large-climbing asiatic pollen parent.
