I have tried two bushes of this rose from Pickering and both have turned out to be duds. The bushes just don't grow or bloom enough and the flowers I have gotten on my second one are very small with few petals and are of an unattractive sallow yellow color. The pictures I see that others have posted look very nice, I just don't seem to have any luck with it. Do you do anything special to make this rose grow and bloom for you or is it one of those bushes that take many years to get established and really start to bloom as advertised. My first bush was so bad that I SP'd the pitiful thing to put it out of my misery at having to look at it. The second one will be three this Spring and if it doesn't make some drastic changes, it will have to go as well. This second bush is only about 2 1/2' tall tops, and the blooms are small mini-flora size and needing many more petals, and completely scentless.
Can others with this rose tell me where they got theirs?? Maybe the mother bush Pickering has is a dud momma and will not produce good cuttings.

John, I originally got my first plant from Pickering around 2002. It never broke dormancy. The following yr, nobody offered it as I recollect. Or it was sold out right away. I can't remember. The next yr, I ordered it from Pickering again, altho I almost ordered it from Hortico, but was afraid I wouldn't get it. This time it survived, and has taken a fairly long time to do anything significant. But this past season (its third) it took off like a weed. The plant reached a good 5ft high and maybe 3-3½ft wide. The blooms were around 3"+. It repeated fairly well and had quite a few blooms in each flush. So, I'm guessing this must be a rose that needs some time to do its thing. Hopefully, yours will improve this season.
