Thank you (and then I striped it down and put Dragon's Blood pollen on it). We shall see whether that takes.

I never had luck with 'Jocelyn' for seed. You can occasionally find pollen. I've made a couple of hybrids using it.

You're right, and I of course meant it as a joke! It WAS a beautifull rose and by photographing it, we all can enjoy it and we all can't wait to see what comes of the pollination!

I love that rose by the sight of it, the striped one from Paul Barden too, they are amongst my favourites, but they are both not available here, and the climate isn't right! (6b)

'Jocelyn' does well enough here in Southern California as far as the weather goes.

It's more vigorous as a budded plant. I suspect it's prone to Black spot in most climates.
