I have always known this rose as Georgetown Tea. Don't know where we got it.

I believe this is the true "Georgetown Tea" that was found in Texas. I have the same plant, and Gregg Lowery has told me that this is the real thing. Most of the others pictured here are Mme Lambard, which, ironically, is being sold as "Georgetown Tea" by a number of Texas own root nurseries. I received the mislabled Mme Lambard from Chamblees. I've grown five different plants of Mme Lambard: three I collected and propagated myself, one I received from Vintage Gardens, and one I received from Chamblees labeled "Georgetown Tea."

"Georgetown Tea" we got from Branchi in Italy seems to be of the 'Mme Lambard' type. He probably sourced it from US. Have you compared the "true" GT with the photos of 'Mme Lambard' in Sangerhausen? Those have the same loose kind of look.
There must be a plate of ML in the 1880 "The Rose Garden". Who can post it?

Well, I can, but I shouldn't. Here's the link. There's something seriously wrong with the color rendition online if you look at all the rose prints. http://www.OldImprints.com:80/OldImprints/_get_images_main.cfm?UR=36810&image_id=1
