Magazines were often a luxury. Newspapers weren't in color and it is rather difficult to hawk something so visual and scented via radio. Cigarette cards and POP advertising with the "glamor shots" plastered in stores and nurseries showed the "pretty face" of the flowers. Having access today of such advertising gives glimpses of a long gone era.
