He looks very healthy! Mine have much more narrow shaped leaves than yours, and for that matter, most of my roses. Thick and narrow, I wonder what that means? Will inspect them again!

I put tons of Tomato-Tone (NPK 3-4-6) plus gypsum in the planting hole, so it's well-fertilized. Clay retains fertilizer well, which helps with larger leaves. My rootings in sandy/loamy medium started out with tiny leaves, but leaves get larger when I transferred to peaty-potting soil, plus fertilize with high NPK. Leaves are definitely larger at alkaline-pH.

To clarify, I meant that Lagerfeld is more narrow than my other roses, not all my roses are narrow. I though that was just the way that they are, until I noticed yours! Sounds like yours are getting great care though. Will check mine in different areas and see if the leaves are different, thanks!
