It's very beautiful. Someone should consider breeding it's spots into modern roses.

See 'Helga Brauer' which has a different parentage, but it is spotted and recently bred.

Helga Brauer looks to be a good one too, although the spots aren't quite as dramatic. At least it's available in Australia.

Take a look at the Gallica's Alain Blanchard (Coquerel, 1829) and Cavalli form Pirjo Rautio ( Finland )
