From Success with Flowers, vol. 5, 1894, p. 98, where we learn that "New Rose, Virginia, introduced last year by The Dingee & Conard Company, was raised by a Mr. Meehan, of Virginia, and sold to them [Dingee & Conard] as a new Rose." And so, a new attribution of "Meehan/Dingee & Conard" is called for.

Despite the "introduced last year" comment above, which would seem to mean 1893, it is not in the Dingee & Conard catalog of 1893, but is mentioned in the 1894 Dingee & Conard catalog as "This elegant Rose, which we now introduce for the first time." And so, attribution: "Meehan/Dingee & Conard, 1894."
