Ibaraki Rose Society

Rose is the prefectural flower of Ibaraki

Rose is called the queen of flowers and one of the most beloved flowers throughout the world since ancient times.

Although it is considered that growing roses is time consuming and somewhat difficult, modern technology enables us to grow them if you have basic knowledge and follow the general growing methods, thanks to the hard working hibridizers all over the world who produce roses resistant to diseases. Novice gardeners can enjoy beautiful and romantic roses easily.

Rose was chosen as the prefectural flower of Ibaraki in 1966. It would be wonderful if roses can be found in every garden in Ibaraki.
