Published in London. Based in large parts on "Stirpium historiae pemptades sex" (5th edition of the "Cruijeboeck" and the first in Latin) by Rembert Dodoens (1583). The plates are largely taken from "Icones stirpium" of Tabernaemontanus (1590), an edition of the earlier "Neuw Kreuterbuch" (1588) in Latin. The rose plates are largely from Vol. II of "New Kreuterbuch" (1591).
