On the 19th of April this year, Pernille and Mogens N. Olesen from
Poulsen Roser ApS were awarded for the most popular rose in the world The award was given by the
World Federation of Rose Societies at the World Rose Convention in Houston, Texas.
The rose 'Ingrid Bergman' was chosen by a majority of the 34 member countries as the most popular rose in the world. 'Ingrid Bergman' is a large-flowered rose with double, dark red blooms.
The World's Favorite Rose 2000 Award included a watercolor of the winning rose painted by the Swiss artist, Anne Marie Trechslin. This award is the latest in a long line of awards that Pernille and Mogens N. Olesen have received for their rose breeding.
