San Juan Capistrano, California -- Dec. 4, 2009. This is really an interesting rose. Sometimes the outer petals are light and the interior ones darker, and other times, as shown in this photo, the outer petals are dark and interior ones are light. There's just no telling what a particular bud will open to show.
San Juan Capistrano, California -- October 16, 2010. Very phototropic rose -- the color varies hugely depending on exposure to sun. I have also seen almost pure white blooms on the same plant where the blooms were shaded by the rest of the plant.
