Jay Jay: I forgot to order this rose (Etoile de Holland, climbing) !! I was so focus on getting more lavender/blue rose, that I completely forgot about climber that blooms early in spring & roses that's winter-hardy & fragrant & can take partial shade. Thanks for posting this pic. I still have the chance to order this rose in mid-June as own-root.

Just keep in mind, that this rose froze back badly in 2012.
But when You cover the lower parts in winter with leaves and/or snow, it will survive and grow back very soon.

Thank you !! I admire your CPM's seedling, also your Cl. Sutter's Gold's seedling. My rootings (from cuttings) do much better when I put some red-lava rock on top. My Double Delight survived this past winter well with red-lava-rock on top.

You're welcome.
The seedlings are a gift of nature/bees. I only provided/combined the (already existing) plants in my garden.
I always use a little bit of lava-meal in my potting-soil as a supply of essential elements.
The garden gets a yearly gift of lava-grit.
