I am gardening in Central Texas.  This rose is a great garden plant:  Superior resistance to black spot, lots of fragrance and eye-catching color.  Once the temps peak- however, it quits.  Any flowers you do get are not worth having.   It would probably do very will with only morning sun and shade in the P.M.

I removed Electron this year because of the problems listed above, and because after two years of trying I cannot get it to set seed - nor can I use its pollen on other varieties.  If you are not into hybridizing, and you have a spot where you can keep it out of extreme temps, this is a great rose.

Does this rose (electron) bloom in the spring and fall or will it bloom more than twice? I live in central Texas and I am looking for a good bloomer in hot pink to add to my garden.
Thanks!

While I have not grown Electron, many books on roses claim that it is a repeat bloomer.

I grow Electron and it blooms from summer to fall here in north-central Texas. It is a huge hot pink flower with some fragrance.
