Fairly good disease resistance for a red HT. Strong thick canes, good bloom productivity. No fragrance whatsoever. Blackens in high heat.

I bought 2 Traviatas from our local Home Depot in mid-summer 2005. They were intentionally mistagged for some reason--I was able to correctly ID them when I located the metal tags still attached to the rose. Both have thrown huge basals (almost tree like) and reached 7+ feet in height! Prolific bloomer! Wish it had a scent. It does get BS in my garden, but it at least attempts to resist and never loses many of its leaves. Fantastic rose!

The zone 7 and higher hardiness rating seems a bit too conservative. It's growing happily in the Longmont Memorial Rose Garden in Colorado, zone 5b. I don't think I'd try it here in Aurora, Colorado but it seems safe to say it could withstand zone 6, just bury the bud union.

I live in z6b and have 2 Traviatas which have shown no winter damage despite being located in an exposed winter location. Other z7 roses in my garden did not fair so well, so I tend to agree with your assessment.

I just bought a house in northern Indiana that had been sitting empty for at least 2 years, this rose was planted on the north side of the house and is doing so well with no help whatsoever (no pruning, no winter protection, not even full sun) that I was shocked to hear that it's a delicate hybrid tea that shouldn't be here at all!
