The description of this rose includes both phrases: "armed with prickles" and "thornless (almost). Any input as to which applies?

Aargh! This "Marie Osmond" turned out to be a renamed rose -- Purple Heart. I hate it when growers do that -- Cottage Farms Direct strikes again (see, Sweet Chariot = Grand Chariot). But I finally got a Purple Heart and have been growing them side-by-side. Same rose. Please combine the listings. I checked with the breeder -- this was apparently done without permission.

Another reason I dislike renaming roses that have established names.

Marie Osmond, the rose, is almost thornless (4 thorns total on a full size bush). Habit is more like a nice floribunda than a hybrid tea.
It was originally sold by QVC as a premium with one of Marie Osmond's designer dolls. See: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,600109426,00.html?pg=2
Very nice rose, but be forewarned that it does mildew in Southern California.
