Bred by Samuel McGredy II (United Kingdom, 1916).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1921 as 'Golden Emblem'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, ages to light yellow .  Mild fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Glossy, dark green, holly-like, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to disease.
