I purchased my Pinata from Wal-Mart in mid-June. Since it was planted, it has grown at least one foot (supporting the report that it grows fast with adequate watering-I had read it was a slow grower). It had many blooms when purchased and is about to bloom again- which is respectable, considering this is its first year and it has been busy growing in height. I enjoy this rose-but I like 'chameleon' roses, as I call them. It is prone to powdery mildew, but no blackspot as yet. A good little rose whose blooms are fairly long-lasting on the bush-even though its original color isn't.--A 2007 update--Pinata eventually reached 6 ft in its 2nd year and was a prolific bloomer in my garden--however, she is BS prone and was removed during this year's culling of the roses. She was happily blooming away until the end..hopefully she will do the same for her new owner.

This rose will repeat but it has two definate flushes of flowers. There will be a pause in between the two..
